HeadworX Publishers is an exciting and new Australasian publishing house. Since its emergence in 1998 it has already published
a number of New Zealand and Australia's most innovative works, winning acclaim for its poetry titles, including the first
anthology of New Zealand cricket poetry. HeadworX authors are widely represented in
anthologies of New Zealand poetry, and in 2004 The Ballad of Fifty-one by Bill Sewell
was shortlisted for the Montana New Zealand Book Awards. Lately, HeadworX has branched out into eBooks and hardbacks. These
publications have launched, developed or renewed the writing careers of an impressive list of poets and writers of short
fiction. The maturity and sophistication of the books is reflected in the high quality of production.
Enquire first before submitting your work as it is unlikely unsolicited manuscripts will be read or returned.
As of 2011, HeadworX is no longer receiving submissions and will be taking a short break until further notice. HeadworX has suspended its Australian poetry list as well as its fiction series until further notice.
